Eddie just called to tell Dee and I of Jimmy's passing. We are so very sad and want you to know that though we have not seen each other very often in recent years, you and all of our Williamsburg family have never been far from our hearts. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

Mamie Ruth - So sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. I, too, recall the great times we had in our youth. I particularly recall the Saturday nights, when the guys (Ollie, Richard, "Bag", Frank Junior, Brantley, etc.) would meet at Jimmy's house on Henry Street to watch the midnight "Shock Theater" TV thriller. When the rest of us arrive in the great hereafter, I'm confident that Jimmy will again be the great host I so fondly recall.

Dear Mamie Ruth,
Sorry to learn of your loss. I have found memories of those days gone by - days of both James Blair and The Common Glory. May the Good Lord comfort you and give you peace, in the sure and certain knowledge that we will meet again.

Mamie Ruth:

My thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone. Although words seem to say so little at time like this I know time is all that will take away the pain. Hold fast to your memories of the past, the laugher, the joy and the celebrations, the sorrow and the the tears that you shared and spent together. The special moments and memories in your life will never chnage. They will always be in your heart today and forever.

I can see him in the kitchen at Wythe making fudge right now and of course go out for a smoke.

Take care one day at a time.
