Janice BROTHERS Obituary

NORFOLK - On Friday, June 11, 2010, Janice entered eternal rest.
She was born Dec. 13, 1945, in Isle of Wight County to the late Joseph (Joe) Duck and Fannie Mae Delk Duck.
She was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.
Janice attended school in Isle of Wight County. She was a believer of Christ and accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Chapel Grove UCC until she later relocated to Norfolk, Va. She was a live-in resident at Lake Taylor Nursing Facility for many years until God called her home.
Janice had a soft spoken voice and often was referred to as "Jean" by family and friends. She will be missed dearly by family and friends; cherished memories will be held dear to our hearts.
She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Patrick Duck of Franklin, Va.; two sisters, Jacqueline Stallings of Suffolk, Va., and Melissa Duck of Red Bank, N.J., a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and other long-time family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, June 19, at Chapel Grove UCC by the Rev. J. J. Ferguson. Interment will be in Chapel Grove Cemetery. The body will be placed in church by 11 a.m. Saturday. A viewing will be held Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at Tynes-Edwards Funeral Service.
