My Uncle Jack was a special person in my life. As a child, I would look forward to visiting him and Aunt Merty in Frostburg. He could always make us laugh. I will miss him very much. Rest in peace, Uncle Jack. I love you!

I am fortunate to have spent my early childhood living in an apartment above the Palace Theater. It was a rare treat to have a large - screen high definition home theater downstairs in the late '40's and early '50's. I have always considered Jack, Bill, Moe and Julia to have been like family to me, and I will be forever grateful that they watched over me and after me as I sat through just about every movie that came out of Hollywood from 1950-54 at the Palace, and all the re-released westerns that played the Lyric on Saturday afternoons.

I had the pleasure of working with "Jack" for ten years at Drs. Poland and Cook, in Frostburg, Md. Jack had a great sense of humor. Whenever I was having a bad day, "Jack" seemed to make things all better (much like my own Father used to do when he was alive), simply by making me smile and laugh.
You all have my deepest sympathy.
Rest in peace my friend.

Doctors Jim and Jeff Poland, our families, and the entire staff of Lifetime Eyecare Center are thinking of our friend Jack today. He was a wonderful co-worker and a good friend. Rest in peace, Jack.
