John DUNAWAY Obituary

YORKTOWN - John Wesley Dunaway, 85, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009.
John was a native of Krebbs, W.Va., and was a York County resident since 1963. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserves and, as an engineer, from V.E.P.C.O. He attended Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yorktown.
John is survived by his wife, Irene Dunaway; a son, William Dunaway and his wife, Sherri of Santa Ynez, Calif.; three daughters, Carol Dunaway of Fredericksburg, Va., Patty Chaney of Yorktown, Va., and Janet Petersen of Fleming Island, Fla. He is also survived by two sisters, Eula Rose Jones and her husband, Jerry of Rutherford, N.C., Zell Jackson of Medina, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Billy and Ian.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
