Rhonda & Family,
I refer to this prayer on occasion. May it be meaningful to you. "Lord, when my soul is weary and my heart is tired and sore, and I have that failing feeling that I can't take it anymore; then let me know the freshening found in simple, childlike prayer, when the kneeling soul knows surely that a listening Lord is there."
My prayers are with you and your family.

I just want you to know that your family is in my prayers. The memory of Ms. Joris will always be with me. I often think back to being a part of her Sunday School Class as a young girl attending First Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Her pleasant smile is what made my returning to Sunday church services recently very good for me. I love all of you. May the peace of God and His favor be with your family always.

Rhonda,
These are never easy moments, however, we all know that they must come. Your mother was a real 'sweetie'. I can see your mom sitting with mother when dad passed back in 2000. Your mothers pleasant and warm spirit permeated throughout our home as she was there just to say I care. That's who your mom was, a fine, loving and beautiful woman who cared. There is no doubt that you, your dad and Jeffrey will miss her, that's natural, however, one thing that you and all of us can rest assured is that she is resting and sitting at the feet of Jesus for her just reward. What a life!!! I know that you have beautifully fond memories of your mother. Cherish those memories in your heart. With love and prayers for your family.

Look to God for strength during this time. I can assure you that He will comfort you in due time. I too have been where you are today and it is overwhelming and painful. However, by looking to God I have gained the strength and peace that the world could not give. When my mom left a year ago, I felt what I know you are feeling now, BUT GOD has stepped in and a year later I have peace and assurance and realize that God never err. Please look to Him and I guarantee you He will grant you peace, joy and strength now and forever. Remember...To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Stay encouraged!!

Rhonda,

I was sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. My earliest memories in life include your family because we have known each other all of our lives. Your mother's smile has not changed over the years. She was a wonderful person and loved by so many. Just know that God has her safely in his arms and she has no more pain. She has equipped you to carry on. You will never replace your Mom but thank God that one day you will see her again in Heaven. Take God of the rest of your family and know that family and friends are praying for the Bradby family.

Sincerely,

Mr. Bradby, Rhonda, Jeff and family. Our house grieves with your house on the loss of your devoted wife and mother. We will miss seeing Mrs. Bradby with that turned up, Crimmsom and Cream, Agner hat riding with Rhonda wherever the wind blew them. If you saw one, you saw the other.. Every sorority event I have attended, Mrs. Bradby has been present, supporting the Smithfield Chapter so much that I thought of her as a Delta sister. Rhonda, you and your family came to share with my family when I lost my dad in May. Who would have known that your mom's days were getting short as well. Just know that the time you all have shared as a family is priceless. We are also sorry to hear about your cousin Miles "Luke" Bradby's death.
God bless you all as you pass through this stormy season in your lives. We know you all know who your Comforter is, so you will grieve but you will not grieve as those who have no hope. We will share with you in rejoicing and celebrating the life of a virtuous woman.
We love you.

Dear Family,

What a beautiful Christian Lady Mama Joris was! She had that tender voice with nothing but encouraging words for others. After taking care of Ma Bessie, Sister Lo, Uncle Gus, and looking out for Uncle Nick and Daddie Donnie, Susie and Fella She still had time for anyone who had a need.

God bless you for allowing her to live the Christian Life. We are the better her her having passed this way. As you go through the tough days ahead remember to lean on the God she served. He will take care of you!
