Kathy HUGGINS Obituary

SURRY - Kathy M. Huggins, a native of Smithfield, Va., passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Huggins of Surry, Va.; her mother, Marion Brown (Walter) of Smithfield, Va.; father, Thomas Brown of Suffolk, Va.; five daughters, Katrina Harris (Ivan) of Smithfield, Va., Tarieka Brown of Surry, Va., Jerene Huggins of Richmond, Va., Joice Anderson of Raleigh, N.C. and Joyce Jones (Melvin) of Newport News; one son, Kim Green of Smithfield, Va.; a goddaughter, Zaria Jackson of Surry; two sisters, Marlenia Pulley of Surry and Majorie Jenkins of Newport News; eight brothers, Calvin Davis (Simone) of Oxon Hill, Md., Christopher Jones (Andree) of Largo, Md..; Thomas 'Wayne 'Brown, Edward Jones, and Fernando Jones all of Smithfield; Larry Piker of Williamsburg, Willie Newby of Newport News and Arnold Bailey of Richmond; a sister-in-law, Effie H. Hardy of Surry; brothers-in-law, Herbert Huggins of Washington, D.C,. and James 'Rabbit) Huggins of Surry; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two special friends, Luvinia Winnegan 'Puddin' of Surry and Lynette Newkirk of Newport News; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A special thank you Phyllis Thomas with Americare Plus Health Care.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 5738 Colonial Trail East, Surry, Va., with Dr. Daniel L. Baltimore, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ray Cemetery. Viewing and visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Huggins will also be viewed one prior to the service Friday at the church.
