Larry Taylor Obituary
He retired from the Hampton -Newport News Commnunity Service Board where he worked for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Taylor Cherry; and a brother, Ricky Blizzard.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Shirley Blizzard (Mary) of Chester, Pa.; a goddaughter, Stacy Palmer of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Cynthia Blizzard of Chester, Pa.; eight brothers, Roy Taylor (Lorraine), Elmore Taylor and Grover Taylor all of Hampton, Bruce Blizzard, Brian Blizzard, Ernest Blizzard of Chester, Pa., Ronald Blizard of Temecula, Calif., and Johnathan Blizzard of Oxford, Pa.; his second mother, Jean Rot of Hampton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Chrisolene Johnson of Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Wesley Grove United Church of Christ, 2308 Roanoke Ave., Newport News, with Dr. Alexansder Jamison Sr., pastor, officiating. Viewing two hours prior to the service Saturday at the Church.

To Larry's Family: Larry was my supervisor at the CSB. He took a chance and hired me when I was only 18. I will never forget how much fun we had back at the MDN with Gail and Catrina. He always said" You are into everything but a wedding dress", and I was so happy when he came to actually share in my wedding day ten years later. I miss him already, as I know you all do, and I will keep your family in my prayers.

To the Taylor family, words can not express the sadness I am feeling for the loss of a special friend. Larry has been a supervisor, counselor, brother, father and a friend to me. I will miss him so much. All thought we have been through so much together I would not want him to continue to experience the pain he was dealing with. I was very sad to hear of Larry's passing. We have truly missed having him around work and Larry will be very missed everywhere. My prayers are with his family and friends. Larry was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed talking with him whenever I had the chance. He will be missed, but we can take comfort in knowing that he is in a wonderful, much better place.
