I was sorry to hear of Lila's passing. She was the last of the "Clifton Forge crew" who moved to Newport News back in the '50s and early '60s. I know they were all standing there to welcome her into heaven and they had a wonderful party in her honor. God bless each of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have considered myself blessed all these years to have known and been influenced by such a special lady We all called her "Mom Wright" in high school but she truely was a second mother to me in so many ways I felt I had an entire second family To my "sibs" I am so sorry for your loss But it is heaven's gain and you know she is up there bending "Pop's" ear about what went on while he was gone!
I loved her dearly and I continue to love you all

Love and life were the two things that I will always remember about Lila. If she liked you, you always knew it and she loved life. For all of the trials in her life, she never let her faith wavier. I always had a great respect for her and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
Peace be with you all...
Cheryl

I remember Lila from when I first started working at Transporation for N.N. Public Schools. Between herself, the original Mr. Jackson, Don Hammond, Bob, Pasty Queensberry, Mac, Joe Goforth and Oneeta Martin, they ran a very efficient operation at the SCOT lot. I missed Lila when she retired and I miss working those days. I worked with a lot of good people who have passed on to that big bus lot in the sky but I still hold their memories in my heart.
May God bless and comfort her loved ones left behind here in this world.
