Lillie CALL Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Lillie Mae Call, 75, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010.
Born June 3, 1935, in Pippa Passes, Ky., she was a native of Newport News for 55 years. She was a member of First Church of God.
Mrs. Call was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Mandy Slone; her siblings, Ival Douglas, Lula Mae Slone, and Lloyd Slone.
She is survived by her husband, Albert "Roy" Call Sr.; her sons, Albert Roy Call Jr. and daughter-in-law, Alice Call, and Charles R. Call and special friend, Little Lilly; her brothers and sisters, Violet Gayle, Virginia Ferguson, Louise Hughes, Wheeler Slone, Rita Gibson, Effort Slone, and Glen C. Slone; and extended family of nieces, nephew, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and their children.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Weymouth Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home. Dear Roy, Charles & Little Roy,
It was such a very sad thing to hear of Lillie's passing. We all have such very fond memories of growing up together on "Deep Creek Road", and ya'll were always the best neighbors that anyone could of asked for~ I know that this is a very hard time for you...but just remember that now she will be your "Guardian Angel", and always be watching over each of you~ May God Bless all of you, our thoughts & prayers are with you...

Roy and family: So sorry to hear of Lillie's passing. She was always very kind to me and made me laugh. Pappy always said she was a good cook! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
