Lizzie Walker Obituary
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Allen and Langston Bigelow; three sisters, Katie Farrish, Odelia Robinson, and Bessie Graves; two sons, Jerry Lee and Lorenzo Simpson.
She leaves to cherish her memory one loving and devoted daughter, Annie Mae Carter of Newport News, Va.; four grandchildren, Attell L. Simpson of Kankakee, Ill., Lisa L. Gillespie, Vento D. Carter (Kwinna), and Eric M. Carter, all of Newport News; a host of great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; one loving and loyal sister, Clara Bigelow of Newport News; one brother, Willie Daniel Bigelow of Highpoint, N.C..; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th St., NN. VA. 23607. A homegoing celebration service will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will have a repast at Gospel Spreading Church of God Annex, 20th St. Jefferson Ave., NN, VA., immediately following the Interment. The family wishes to thank Envoy of Williamsburg, LLC, and Heartland Hospice Services of Newport News, for their special care and affection.
