Lola was a Jr High and High School "buddie" (Class of 1962)and was such fun to be around. Although we lost contact over the years, I'm sure she kept her great sense of humor and left you with great memories to cherish. Sincere sympathy for your loss of such a special lady. Lola was my boss when I worked at Tidemark Bank. She was a great person inside and out. She made my bridal bouquet for my wedding. May god bless you all during this time of sorrow.

Lola was my friend from TNCC days. She was so popular. Everyone loved her! I admired her determination to succeed and raise her children.I remember how hard she worked, went to school while being a single Mother at 7-11. She never complained and encouraged others. I have always thought about her through the years. She made the pennisula a better place being here.

To the Family,

Lola was my boss @ TideMark Bank. She was a great boss and friend. She was passionate, loyal and loving. To me "Strong" wasn't the right word for her, she was fierce and determined, Her family was everything to her and she loved you with her whole being, She would come to work and tell the funniest stories about Shelby and Melissa. She laughed so hard that she would cry. When I think of BOLD women who are comfortable in their own skin, I think of Lola. I am blessed to have known her. RIP Lola.

Grandma. again ,so pretty....

Grandma was stubborn. She was opinionated. She was critical of everything. She expected you to try your hardiest, think of every option, and work for what she knew you were capable of. And she was all of this BECAUSE SHE LOVED YOU. She took care of me throughout highschool, and i never realized it until later in life that she did all of the things above bc she loved me and saw the potential i had, and KNEW how hard life ahead was going to be without a backbone and perseverance. She taught me that nothing comes easy, things are rarely fair, but you have to just keep on going and do you're best or you'd never survive. I love her for all the laughs, all the arguments, all the good times between us AND all the bad; bc without her i wouldn't be the strong willed person i am today. And i'm so glad i made it clear to her i recognized and appreciated it before it was too late.... Sh eworked hard her entire life for every single thing she had and was; She's my inspiration to keep going, now with her and Granny gone. She's the reason I WILL make it, bc of her i have everything i'll need to do so.....I'd like to give a warm thank you to those of her friends who stood by her side, and helped her, and possibly grew from her as much as she did them... 'love you grandma...

To the Family:

Lola was a high school friend of mine many years ago when we both lived in the Wythe area of Hampton. I'm just so sorry that we did not keep in touch. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time
