My belated condolences. Mrs. Routten was my sixth grade teacher in the early seventies. She was also the mother-in-law of the son of the foster family I stayed with back then. So, it was very difficult to get away with anything in her class. I have very fond memories of Mrs. Routten. I wish that the today's school children could be blessed with teachers like her.

Mom was such an inspiration to us. She was such a kind-hearted lady. She touched so many lives over the course of her teaching career, always giving of herself to help others. I'll always cherish the many wonderful memories we had together, especially during the holidays, the many camping trips, and our trips to Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Myrtle Beach. Mom taught me some valuable lessons in life for which I am very grateful -love, respect, and to appreciate life. She was the best, and I'll miss her dearly.

Mrs. Routten was my 6th grade teacher at Francis Asbury many years ago. She also taught my sister and brother. We were all together yesterday for our family's Christmas celebration and shared our fond memories of her. She was a wonderful and kind teacher and we were lucky to have been her students. We extend our condolences to her family. God bless you.

We are so sorry to hear Mrs. Routten has passed. We all know she is in a better place, but it is hard to see her go anyway.
She was a wonderful person, hard working, and she loved her family and friends. She was my daughters teacher at Asbury, and she was loved by all her students.
May God Bless all of her family, and our prayers are with all of you.
Love,
Nancy and George Green
