Mallie BULLOCK Obituary

HAMPTON - Ms. Mallie H. Bullock, of Hampton, Va., slipped peacefully away early Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at the Coliseum Park Nursing Home.
She was born in Macclesfield, N.C., on Aug. 15, 1909, to the late Johnnie and Amanda Cobb. She was a longtime resident of Washington, D.C., for more than 60 years and a prominent member Vermont Baptist Church. Later, she relocated to Hampton, Va.
Preceded in death by her son, Mr. Edward N. Atkinson, Mallie leaves to cherish her memory a niece, Ms. Lorene Dutch of Hampton, Va., and a host of other relatives.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Coliseum Park Nursing Home staff for all their care and concern.
Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Cooke Brothers Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at the chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Family and friends are to assemble at the chapel by 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
