Margaret HAYSLETT Obituary

HAMPTON - Margaret Ann Hayslett, 80, widow of Richard H. Hayslett, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010.
She was born in Hampton when it was known as Elizabeth City County and has lived her whole life here. She loved working crossword puzzles, knitting, cross stitching, and embroidery.
Survivors include her children, Patricia L. Crist and her husband, Walter, Richard H. Hayslett Jr., David James Hayslett, Lillian M. Eubanks and her husband, David, and Richard Thomas Hayslett and his wife, Wendy all of Hampton; her sister, Virginia Lee Mathis and her husband, Bill of Richmond; four grandchildren, Christina Allen and her husband, Leon, Wayne Causey, Lisa Eubanks, and Michael Lee Wells and his wife, Melissa; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Mrs. Hayslette was a good friend and I have known her for years. I will miss talking to her and our regular phones calls. My prayers go out to all her children and the family. May GOD bless you all.
