Michael BODELL Obituary

SCOTTSVILLE - Michael "Mick" Carter Bodell, 58, of Scottsville, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at home.
Born Sept. 10, 1951, in Rockingham County, Va., he was the son of Jean Carter Bodell of Shenandoah, Va., and the late Charles Bodell. Mick was a retired Aircraft Mechanic from the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sandra Hargrave Bodell of Scottsville; a daughter, Shae Bodell Kuzdzal and her husband, Daniel of Scottsville; three grandchildren, Brent Michael Kuzdzal, Veronica Kay Kuzdzal, and Tucker Daniel Kuzdzal; two sisters, Dale Waters and her husband, Craig of McGaheysville, Va., and Karen Pence of Shenandoah, Va.; his mother-in-law, Pauline Hargrave of Hampton; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Patricia Covington officiating. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, at the funeral home. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at noon Monday, June 14, 2010, at St. Luke's Memorial Park, Smithfield, Va.
