Michael Morgan Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Michael John Morgan, age 42, joined his Lord and Savior on Jan. 3, 2010 at Walter Reed Hospital after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
He joins his mother Marsha Adeline Morgan who beat him there and he awaits the arrival of his wife, Bobbi Ann Morgan; his three children, Matthew Joshua Morgan, Mackenzie Jessica Morgan, and Mark Jacob Morgan. As well as his father, Larry Warren Morgan of Florida; and sister Laura Ann Morgan of Florida.
He was born in St. Charles, Mo., on July 7, 1967. He moved to Florida as a teenager and met his wife, Bobbi in 1988, where they began their 22 year journey of growing together at Coral Springs Baptist Church. He moved his family to Virginia 11 years ago in 1998, where they became members of Newington Baptist Church. Michael was a very outgoing individual, who wanted everyone to smile and if you did not, he was sure to find a way to make you smile. He enjoyed being a big kid with his children and left them with many wonderful, funny memories.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Newington Baptist Church. Pastor Michael Gray will officiate the celebration. Following the celebration meal will be served downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to the Peninsula Cancer Institute at 7544 Medical Dr., Suite B. Gloucester, VA 23061 or Riverside Peninsula Cancer Center at 7544 Medical Dr., Suite A. Gloucester, VA 23061.

Bobbi and children,
We are so sorry to hear of Michael's passing. We met at Doctor Wassum's
office
when He and I were under going treatment
and his faith and yours was a Blessing to
us and every one he came in contact with.
His was the most christian and possitive
outlook on life in spite of the tremendous
battle he was in. Take solace in the fact that he is with his Lord and is watching over you all from heaven. You and the children are in our prayers.

Bruce & Charlotte
