Mildred Brown Obituary

HAMPTON - Mildred Brown, 73, a proud country girl with a gigantic heart, passed away Monday morning, Nov, 16, 2009.
Mildred, a longtime Hampton resident, grew up in Danville, Va. She worked at Norfolk Naval Base and at C. Vernon Spratley Middle School.
Mildred is survived by her husband, Jesse; her children, Jelane Honeysuckle, Jereon and Jarena Brown; her sisters, Millerson Jackson, Dana McFarland and Olivia Moore; her brothers, John, Orlando, Ira, Warren, Wayne and Henry Dallas; and the grandchildren she loved to spoil, Jousha, Denard, Jurica, Bianca and Ariel.
Viewing hours at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home, in Hampton, Va., are from 1to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2009. A service celebrating Mildred's life will also be held at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home, in Hampton, Va., Friday, Nov. 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow immediately after at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Suffolk, Va.
