Leroy and I just celebrated our 64 years of marriage and Pat Casey and Fern Hersh were our bridesmaids. That was a long time ago in Neodesha, Kansas. She was a good high school friend.

Pat was a member of our wonderful team at the Finance Office at Langley AFB in the late '80s. She was a great lady, with a wonderful sense of humor. She told me one of the funniest jokes I ever heard in my life, which I won't repeat here! I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

Mike and Ricky,
My deepest sympathy to you over the passing of your Mom. Your parents were my nextdoor neighbor in the early 60's and we remained friends over these many years. They were what I would term, my chosen military family. I will miss her and our communications. The last thing she said to me was, "I'm okay, I'm okay with not being okay. Do you know what I mean?" I did know what she meant and from that I knew she was ready to go. Please extend my sympathy to your families and to Florence and her family as well.

So very sorry for your loss. Our prayers and sympathy to you in the loss of your mother and grandmother.

I wanted to express my sympathy for your loss. People can be replaced at the office but a family member is different. My oldest granddaughter is about the same age as Cobe so Pat and I often exchanged e-mails about our grandchildren, especially when they were younger. We also exchanged e-mails about various items in the daily news. Pat had a keen insight and I will miss those exchanges. May it help to know that others care.

Sincerely,
Altricia Ogden Misse
