Dear Viv, David and Julie, please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences on the loss of your husband and father. I am so sorry that I was unable to attend what I am certain was an uplifting memorial at Hampton Baptist. Professionally, Perry achieved so much, but I know that he would have felt that his greatest accomplishment was to be a part of such a wonderful loving family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers for Perry's family. I flew in helicopters with Perry during the 1970s. He was always a professional, as well as a good man and mentor. I always felt that I was flying with the best when he was in the right seat.

Dear Vivian, I was sorry to read of Perry's passing. We spent many joyful times flying together. Perry was always willing to let me take the controls and was instramental in my getting a pilot license. Some of our more exciting times were when we would follow close behind the jet transports leaving Patrick Henry to learn about the hazards of wake vortices. Many times we rolled the T-33 360 degrees. He was a good pilot and a good friend.Joe Stickle

I have many good memories of sharing flights with Perry and of partying with him and Vivian. As a research pilot, he was especially good in an area too often avoided by others: he was very conscientious in writing his observations and opinions following a test flight or simulator session.
