I was in New York when Kath told me about Rick. I can honestly say the time I spent with Rick and the girls on his softball teams were some of the best times I've ever enjoyed. He knew his stuff but more important he knew how to have fun and I think every girl and every coach had fun when they played on Rick Hooper teams.
I know that both my girls treasure the time they spent playing and practicing on his teams. We still talk about those days with very fond memories and the next time we are all together we might just go out and hit a few balls around to honor him.
His family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful softball coach, who made each of us feel like a star, even if we had doubts ourselves. He was truly a good man and I will treasure those memories.

I wish we could have seen each other more often. Living so far away made that very difficult. I will always hold dear the time we did spend together. He will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. He was my brother.
