Ms. Bettie, Joan, Cheryl, Sallie & Kristie:
I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Roger's passing. Take comfort in knowing it is a blessing that he's not suffering any longer and he's in a much better place. I have many fond memories of Mr. Roger; as I have spent many a night at your house growing up. In the past several years I would run into him at the credit union or somewhere and he would always greet me with a hug and we would mention those days when I would stay with Sallie. They are wonderful memories. I am keeping all of you in my prayers at this difficult time. May God be with all of you and give you peace.

I Love You All,
Violet

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I was deeply saddened to hear of Roger's passing. He was a wonderful person and will be missed very much. I worked with him for many years with the Boys State program and was honored to be selected the same year as Roger for Boys State Hall of Fame. May God bless you all at this sad time.

I knew Mr. Messier from the Holiday Inn, Hampton, VA. He and I would get together yearly and go over the rooms assignment list of where people were going to stay in the hotel. He was the nicest guy and had a wonderful smile. A really sincere person. I am so sad that he is gone but there's no place better then Heaven and only the BEST make it there and he was the BEST. God Bless Mr. Messier and his family.

I have known Roger for many years. He was a wonderful, funny and caring person. Of the 15 years that I have worked for the City of Poquoson I have never known anyone who did so much and cared so much for a City and its citizens. I enjoyed his many stories. God bless the Messier Family. Roger will be missed.

The world is a lesser place today with the passing of Roger. He was kind, generous, and an outstanding leader, who in tumultuous times was the quiet voice of reason and compassion. He was a shining example of how to live one's life. During tough times he demonstrated courage as well as a concern for others. We will miss his big smile, his handshakes and the conversations with him. We will miss him greatly!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Roger's family

Having worked with Roger many years at NASA, I came to know him as a wonderful person who cared about others. Roger had a certain down-to-earth style about him that was admired by many. Roger fought a tough battle with his cancer and now is at peace without any pain or discomfort. Roger will be missed, but the great works he did while here and the people he touched will last forever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bettie and Roger's family. God Bless you all.
