I met Ronnie soon after we moved into our Denbigh neighborhood. He and my brother David were the best of friends, all the while being viewed as pesky younger brothers by their older sisters (Donna and me). My childhood is filled with great memories like playing "Kick the Can" with all the neighborhood kids; watching Ronnie, David, and other various "skate rats" build their skateboarding skills on our backyard ramp; enjoying our neighborhood's 4th of July block parties; and visiting the famous Ft. Eustis sandpool as often as we could. On Revelle Drive, the neighborhood families were a tight-knit group. You just don't find that kind of neighborliness anymore, which is what made it so special. How lucky we are to have had those experiences and to have known Ronnie.
I extend deepest sympathies to his family in this great loss.

Ronnie was my first neighborhood friend when we moved to Newport News in 1973. My first memory was his smiling face upside down when he found me hiding in our dog house while playing hide and seek. Ronnie was wearing a three cornered hat and carrying a toy musket. I will treasure memories of playing outside all day, swimming and boating in the neighborhood lake, baseball, biking, skateboarding and just hanging out. I will always remember Ronnie’s kindness, generosity, sense of humor and caring for people and animals. He was a wonderful person with an equally wonderful family, and I’m very sorry that he left us so soon.

I met Ron a few times, at the home of his sister Becky, who is a friend and neighbor of mine. He seemed very nice. My heart goes out to his family and to all who knew and loved him.

I was shocked to hear of Ron's passing. Since I first met him when working on one of his vehicles I have known Ron as someone very patient and understanding, something highly valued in my field. He was always armed with a new joke he wanted to tell the guys and whenever he came in would leave a smile on all of our faces for the rest of the day. On behalf of everyone at Eltham Auto Clinic I pass along deep sympathy to the family and friends who, along with us, will miss Ron immensely.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Ron's family. I will always remember his smile, his humor and his garage band(The Cars...Just What I Needed). I think it was the only song they could play all the way through! It was great growing up together on Revelle. Love and prayers,

I went to school with Ron and we both graduated from Denbigh in 1983. Though we did not keep in touch after graduation, I will always remember him for his smile. He was such a sweet person. Rest in peace, Ron. You will always be remembered.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I was in total shock to hear that such a nice and funny guy had passed. I remember he was always very courteous when he would come over to meet my father for work. I also remember him dropping off his grandson at the daycare I use to work at. Such a nice man woho made me laugh alot.

I was so saddened to hear of Ron's passing. Growing up Ron could make anyone laugh, I am sure as he got older he just got better at it. Such a nice guy was taken way to early from this life.

I met and became close friends with Ron when we were both 12 years old. We did some stupid, fun things together as adolescents and got away with most of it. Ron was quick to smile and to laugh and was genuinely bothered when his friends and loved ones were not happy. I am exceedingly lucky to have had such good friend for so long, even though he left us way too soon.

We were taken aback to learn of Ron's passing. Our hearts and best wishes go out to Robin, Taylor, Brandon, Masaka and Don, Nathaniel and Ashley, little Alex, Becky and Franz, Donna and her fiance, and the nephews Ben and Josh. Through the years, circumstance had brought us all together as members of one large extended family. As a result, the children, and the adults, were shown the possibilities for enriching one's life when the capriciousness of fate intervened. Ron was an integral part of so many scenarios, characterized by a laugh, a joke, a smile, or just plain fun. He will surely be missed, but there is no doubt that he would be the first to encourage everybody to love and hug one another and get on with the business of looking out for each other. Ron loved his children and his family and a man could do no more. Peace to you friend.

I had the honor and priveledge of working with Ron in the kitchen at the Festhaus in Busch garden .I was his Area supervisor and he was one of the most silliest ,fun people I have ever met.He would keep the kitchen motavated and he loved doing the dishes(lol) thats an understatement ,no all jokes aside he would be right there front and center to do whatever was needed and and he did not mind what it was.I am deeply sadden and I will miss him so much. I had the honor and priveldge to work with Ashly Miller as well she is my little angel girl. Also his son Brandon is a very wonderful person to work with.My heart and prayers go out to the family and friends as well as my blessings for the days to come.Hold tight to all the beautiful memories as Im sure theer are many.
