Dear June and family,
I'm writing on behalf of my parents, Jack and Doris Wheatley. In talking to my Mom today she told me about Chipper's passing. Please accept our sincere condolences. It's been many years but we have a lot of fond memories of the time our families spent together growing up. She was sad to hear about this and would very much like to know how to reach you. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

It has been many years since I last saw Chip but I will always remember his smile and fun loving personality. My deepest sympathy to his family.

To Shannon, his little dovetail and sleek black panther he said was all in one package. It is very obvious where she received her spicy personality and compassionate heart. They were two of kind and we know our best friend will miss her dad tremendously after their beautiful reunion. As Shannon's friends we are sure and knew her dad was so proud of all her academic accomplishments and loved his other two sons as well. We all see where Shannon gets her perservance and illuminating presence.

From all of Shannon's Friends,
May you rest in piece Chipper (DAD) as you said for us to call you, until you and Shannon reunite in Heaven. Most of all Chipper, you have no concerns with your daughter, she will make it as the doctor she plans to be.

To all the Hibbard Family we are sorry for your loss,

Shannon's gang of friends

Mrs Hibbard, Carl, Helena, Linda, Trina, and Nathan. Very sorry to hear about Chipper, I didn't know about it until I read it in the paper tonight. I saw him several years ago at one of the county fairs, he hadn't changed. I hope you are all doing well and will get through this difficult time.

We knew Chip from the Isle of Wight Academy football games. He was faithfully at every game to cheer for his son, John, and the entire IWA team. He was a lot of fun to be around and he always had a smile and a hug for me. We will all very much miss seeing him at the sporting events.
John, your Dad was so proud of you! Please continue to make him proud and remember that he will now have the best seats in the house at all of your games.

I have a lot of memories of Chipper, but I won't forget the last time I saw him. He still had that great smile and upbeat attitude. He was teasing Mike about stuff and just being fun. My condolences to the family. I especially want to let Linda know that I am thinking of her, since we too were great buddies!!Carolyn Gale Smithfield,Va

To The Hibbard Family,I met Chipper through his daughter Shannon. We had many a long winded chats. He was a pistol thats for sure I see where Shannon gets it from. I never met him in person but I wish that I could have because he was the kind of person you want in your life. He loved the outdoors, family times and he just idolized his three children.I will miss our little chat sessions but he is in a better place.May he rest in peace.
