Dearest Eddie & Amanda,
We are so grateful that you, Amanda and precious Susan were a part of our lives all these years. Susan and her family has been a powerful witness for Jesus and His Church down through the years. She has reached so many souls for our Lord and strengthened so many lives in the faith that Jesus was indeed pleased.
We are delighted that we have know the Vest family and that we too have been encouraged because of her love for Jesus.
We will continue to pray for the two of you as you go on living without Susan but her presence will be felt each and every day you live. May God bless you in a special way this day.
We love you and are grateful for the time we spent with you last year.

Dearest Eddie, Amanda, Carol and Sheila:
It's been our privilege to have had Susan and your family in our lives for the past 37 years. She was Virginia's best friend and there will never be another "Susan." We will remember Eddie and Susan knocking on our apartment door (we'd only been married one week) to invite us to Northside's Iesous class and thus began a life-long friendship;her love of television shows and the ability to come back with those "one-liners" that left you belly-laughing; running upstairs to rescue 1-week old screaming Matthew after the baby shower was over; the pineapple and mayo salads she prepared for "Tall Paul": celebrating the confessions of faith and baptisms of Matthew and Paul at Shoney's with hot-fudge cakes; Susan calling early one Sunday morning and Virginia screaming with joy when Susan announced she was pregnant; Susan rejoicing when she found out Matt and Margaret were pregnant with the Keithley's first girl; Virginia's cherished Monday nights in your home studying God's word with her ladies bible group; and most of all - her unfailing love of our family through the years no matter what. What is life going to be like without Susan? Never the same...BUT it's a life filled with assurance, the same assurance that Susan lived until her last breath, that JESUS is alive and HE will be our Comforter and our Rock while we grieve the loss of this beautiful, caring, selfless and Godly woman who touched our lives like no other. We love you, Vest family, and will ALWAYS be here for you. May GOD receive ALL of the glory for Susan's legacy.

Sheila: May God reach out his healing hand to you and your family. I certainly have missed my singing buddy. Love, Shirley R.

To Eddie and Family
I am so sadden of the loss of Susan. She was a strong person in her faith, and her every day life. I have a lot of great memories of her and her family from back in the days of church. I am so glad that I had the joy to know her and her familyand to count them as friends. Also glad that I was able to get one of my Cds to her to share with the lady she watched after. Susan never complained about the problems she went through but always lifting others up through her love of God and praying for those in need . She will be greatly missed. Her sufferings are over now. But we have that assurrance through Gods word that we as Christians will one day see her again. I pray for God to give you the strength that you need to face each day from now on.

Dear Eddie, Amanda, Shiela & Carol,
I loved Susan as my own "Sissy". We had 45 wonderful years together as sisters of the heart and sisters in Christ. Even though I know we will all miss her, I also know that she is with Jesus, her parents, Little Sue, Mrs. Hamilton, and many more people that she has loved over the years. She is saving a place for us and we will all rejoice with her again soon. I pray that God will give you grace and mercy to get through the difficult days ahead. And always remember that I love you and will be here to help with whatever.

Dear Eddie, Amanda and family, We are so sorry for your loss. Susan was the absolute kindest and most christian woman I have ever been blessed to know. She knew the answers to life's little problems and was ever ready to lend a hand. She graced us all with her clever wit. A beautiful wife, mother, sister, neighbor and friend, she will sorely be missed. Just as Susan has lovingly kept a candle burning in her window - all who knew her smile, her laughter, kindness and optimism, will be blessed with the bright light of her memory that will soothe the aching heart. God bless and keep you in the
comfort of His Arms

Graceful fingers and wispy hair,
A prayer so soft you almost couldn't hear.
But when she wanted, she had a voice loud and strong,
That would sing the most beautiful songs.
They gave her some time but she took eleven years,
And shocked all her peers.
But she wasn't shocked not one little bit,
And her prayer always was,
Till that minute, that time, that very last day,
Gods will be done, his way.
AUNT SUSAN, YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!

So sorry to hear of Susan's passing. I remember the days when I drove the ole VW Beetle in Northside's parking lot. You (Eddie), Susan and I laughed so hard and to this day when I see a VW beetle, it brings back those memories. Susan had such a love for people and life; what an AMAZING lady. I feel so blessed to have known her.
