Vanessa GREENE Obituary

WINDSOR - Vanessa D. Greene entered into eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Sentara Obici Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine G. Evans.
She was a native of Smithfield, Va., and was employed by Gwaltney of Smithfield for 27 years until her disability. Vanessa was also a lifelong member of the Main Baptist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Thaddeus Greene (Kathy) of Fredericksburg, Va.; sister and caregiver, Sonia K. Greene of the home; sisters, Wendy Johnson and Wanda Johnson, both of Smithfield, Va.; two nieces; three nephews; one great-nephew; and a multitude of cousins.
Celebration service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan 3, at Main Street Baptist Church, Smithfield, Va. Public viewing and visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at Shivers Funeral Chapel.
