Viola THACKER Obituary

YORKTOWN - Viola Thacker, 98, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010.
Viola was a native of Wayne County, Ky., and was a Peninsula resident for more than 20 years.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Thacker.
She is survived by five sons, Bob and Jim Anderson, Fred, Bob, and Dan Thacker; and a daughter, Jane Cook.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at York River Baptist Church, 8201 Croaker Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188, with the Rev. Jim Anderson officiating.

I remember Aunt Vi as a very nice lady and have fond memories of visiting her when she lived in the Hampton area close to Jim and his wife. It is sad to hear of her passing.
