William RANDALL Obituary
He was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Thomasboro, N.C., to the late Hattie and Frosty Randall.
He was a member of Gospel Light United Holy Church, a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a member of Harry S. Foster American Legion Post 67.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie M. Randall.
He leaves to cherish his memories eight daughters, Shirley Russ (Levi) of Hampton, Linda Graves of Newport News, Patricia Ross (Jerry) of Charlottesville, Va., Sandra Pittman (Richard) of Newport News, Pamela Jarvis (Wayne) of Wake Forrest, N.C., Brenda Hall (Joe) of Bowie, Md., Cheri Graham of Leland, N.C., Wilma Murray of Raleigh, N.C.; three sons, the Rev. Douglas Gore (Janice) of Germantown, Md., William Randall Jr. of Wilson, N.C., and Michael Randall of Hampton. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lela Randall of Hampton, and Irene Randall of North Carolina; three brothers-in-law, John Amos Gause of Thomasboro, N.C., Minister Rudolph Galloway (Lila) of Whiteville, N.C., and Zack Browning of Greensboro, N.C.; special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 26, at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. A celebration of life service will be noon on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Newport News, with the Rev. Dwight Riddick as eulogist. Entombment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Monique Chandler, Dr. Haga (Hampton Family Practice), Linda Johnson and the staff of the Sentara Hospice Home Care.

To my family I will dearly miss Uncle William exspeically when he came home to visit. I can remeber when my mom would cook him butter beans, rice, fried fish, and a glass of water. Then he would talk to Sis (Maberta). I will always remeber the wisdom he spoke to all that was listening and of course that would be me, the encouragement that he spoke so rightously, and the love he had for the family.
