I am so saddened over hearing of the loss of a lifelong friend. Billy was my very first love, but just friends over the years. Our paths would cross once in a blue moon. His family was so special because of their closeness and I always knew his Mom was the glue that held them together. Mrs Banfiel, I will be praying for your comfort in knowing Billy was a Christian. For his brother Johnny and sisters Ruthey and Diane(I didn't know Diane), my heart goes out to you for the loss of a dear brother. Many prayers for comfort and grace to get through this go to you Mary. Billy loved you very much. I can't believe he's gone from us. Please contact me.

I am sorry to hear that Billy has passed. Billy and I were friends and foes as teenagers in Wythe. I remember the 64 or 65 Chevy that he fixed up into a really nice ride and had me shaking in my boots racing down Kecoughtan Rd.
Rest in Peace Billy.
