Woodrow Tabb Obituary

LOUISBURG, N.C. - Woodrow Wilson Tabb was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, in Brian Center, Durham, N.C. His life began in York County, Va., the son of the late George and Mary Alice Parker Tabb. At an early age, he joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Upon moving to North Carolina, he joined Tupper Memorial Baptist in Raleigh and later he joined South Main Street Baptist Church in Louisburg. He proudly served in country in the United States Army. He leaves to cherish his blessed memories, his wife, Lecelendia Messenburg Tabb; his daughters, Mary L. Scott of Sanford, Fla., Blondelle T. Edgerton and Cynthia Tabb, both of Louisburg, N.C.; his sons, Woodrow W. Tabb II of Newport News and Wendell Tabb of Durham, N.C.; his four grandchildren; his seven great-grandchildren; his sisters, Ruby Tabb and Bernie Tabb Dorman, both of Williamsburg, and Mary Alice Tabb of Silver Spring, Md.; his brothers, Oliver Tabb and Russell Tabb, both of Williamsburg, Langford Tabb of Ft. Washington, Md., Cardell Tabb of Philadelphia, Pa., Percell Tabb of Adelphia, Md., and Leroy Tabb of Glenside, Pa.; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, at which time expressions may be given. Interment will follow with military honors in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Professional service entrusted to the staff of E.C. Terry's Funeral Service, Henderson, N.C.
