NEWPORT NEWS - Micah D. Greiser, 25, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Mary Immaculate Hospital. He was a native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Newport News for 18 years. Micah was a kitchen manager for Carraba's Italian Grill for eight years. He attended Ivy Farms Church of the Brethren, was a graduate of Warwick High School, and was also a member of the Warwick Raiders Marching Band and Jazz Band. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glenn E. Garis, Sr. of PA. Survivors include his mother, Karen L. Guisewite, wife of Bradford Guisewite of Newport News; father, Terence E. Greiser, husband of Amy Greiser of Newport News; two brothers, Collin M. Greiser of Colorado, Springs, CO, Elijah Q. Greiser of Chicago, IL; step-sisters, Alexis Peternel of Newport News, and Hannah Guisewite of Harrisonburg, VA; and step-brother, Steven Peternel of Newport News. He is also survived by many aunt, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Huntington Mennonite Church, with the service following at 5:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Cindy Garis. The family would like to especially thank all of the caregivers at Mary Immaculate Hospital who showed great compassion during his hospital stay. Our prayer is that Micah's spirit would remain in your heart. Arrangements are in the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.

Carrabbas will never be the same without him there. I know my husband always enjoyed talking to him when we came in for dinner. He will truly be missed and we are very sorry we could not say goodbye to him before he passed. Our prayers are with his family.
