Annie. Its hard to believe I have now lost both you and Bucky. My little sister and my best bud of my other family. Words can't really express what I want to say but I'm sure now you can look into my heart and see how I feel. I know if your daughter is anything like you, she has a head start on having a good life. I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to say good bye, so I'm saying it now. All those who knew you and all those you touched are better off for it. Thank you Annie for making the world a better place and me a better person for having known you.

Ms. Annie always will have a special place in my heart. I'm in 7th grade at Grymes and have known her ever since I have walked the hallways. She would often tell me to walk, always with a please. She would greet me when she had "door duty". She brightened my day. Just last summer, I remember dancing with her at the "3rd Thursdays" in Culpeper. She had a drink in one hand and her feet were always moving as the music played. To sum all of our good memories up I just want to say that you will always have a special place in my heart. I love you Ms. Annie. :)

Ms. Annie, you are the best teacher who has ever walked the halls at Grymes. For the ten years that I have been their, you have always greeted me with a smile and warmed my heart when I was having a bad day. I love and miss you.

I am so very saddened to hear this news. Anne and I played sports together at CCHS. She was always so uplifting and sweet. Her smile was contagious. I heard her service was beautiful- esp. the dancers. My love and prayers to Bobby and her daughter.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Celebration of Life service for sister Anne yesterday and for those who were unable to but were with us in prayer and spirit. Anne was there with us among the wonderful familiar faces of so many family and friends, hugs, kisses, stories, and smiles and tears. I will forever be overwhelmed by her and the positive impact she had on so many lives, especially the children she taught. She taught us so many lessons, so I hope we can all remember and live them out. Not putting off a visit to someone you've been meaning to see, not missing an opportunity to help someone, smiling more often, keeping things in the proper perspective, not worrying about the small stuff, and loving and enjoying nature and the simple things in life. We are so proud of Megan and already see her carrying, even in her youth, the fine qualities her mother embodied in each and every day of her life. God Bless Anne who is now enjoying time again (and likely dancing the "Tootie Ta") with family and friends in Heaven.

Ms. Annie, you always shared your love and joy with every student who passed you in the halls at Grymes. When I was having a rough day, seeing your smile would instantly cheer me up. You exuded so much enthusiasm--truly, you are inextricably bound to the wonderful memories I cherish from my days at Grymes. I will never forget you. With my condolences to your family,

Each day Annie would say 'good morning' to me, and everyone else on the hall, with that incredible smile and energy that got us all moving. Her appreciation for each day and life was uplifting. Hers was a presence I can never forget and for which I will be eternally grateful. Ben Whitman

Anne we will never forget you! We will always see that smiling face coming down the hallway. asking "Hey how are you ! Are you doing okay?". It was a pleasure to see you everyday and hear your voice. Bobby, I am remembering you and Anne right now and the memories are as wonderful and the days when we made them. It makes me wish we could have a parade in her honor on Hendrick Street, roll down the hill in your backyard, and then get in the back of Dad's pick-up with the picnic table and go to DQ for an ice cream cone. Those simple pleasures don't exist anymore, but I am sure that they are in heaven waiting for Anne. My love and prayers to you and your family.
