Mr. Garrison was born on June 30, 1925, in Browns Cove, Virginia, a son of the late Alexander L. Sr. and Florence (Miller) Garrison.

Mr. Garrison was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Middle River Church of the Brethren and retired from DuPont in 1987 where he worked for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and "hanging out at his home".
