Amanda Ellora Stoots Craig

Amanda Ellora Stoots Craig, 91, of Charlottesville, Virginia, and formerly of Pulaski, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born on November 2, 1918, in Pulaski County, the daughter of the late James Lee and Nannie Quesenberry Stoots. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Craig; a son, Garland Edward Stoots; three sisters, Mittie Burnette, Myrtle Cundiff, and Lona Mae Stoots; and five brothers, Dewey, Oscar, Frank, Harry and Pete Stoots.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Sandra Stoots of Palmyra, Virginia; three grandchildren, Greg and Carla Dodson, Jason and Bonnie Dean and Michael and Crystal Frazier; eight great-grandchildren, Camryn, Tyler, Shelby, Dakotatoni, Xavier, Jaemisen, Madilyn and Carl; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at the Bower Funeral Home in Pulaski. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at the funeral home.
