Senora W. Bishop

Mrs. Angie "Senora" W. Bishop, formerly of Elliott Avenue, Charlottesville, died Friday, September 3, 2010, at the Colonnades where she resided for the past four years.

She was born May 13, 1920, to the late Onnie Lee Wilkerson and Eva Glass Wilkerson in the Shores community of Fluvanna County. She was also predeceased by her husband, George Joseph Bishop; her brother, Harry Lee Wilkerson and his wife, Virginia; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Goodson of Troy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Nancy Bishop of Clemmons, North Carolina; her granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Ronnie Cecile, of King, North Carolina; great- grandsons, Evan Allen Cecile and Luke Joseph Cecile of King, North Carolina; her sister, Evelyn Goodson of Troy; a special niece and her family, Joanne, Jimmy, and Jamie Wills of Troy; one brother-in-law, Walter Bishop and his wife, Frances, of Charlottesville; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Harris of Charlottesville and Catherine Chiti of Florida; and a number of other beloved nieces and nephews.

Senora was educated in the Fluvanna County Public School system and enjoyed a long career as a proofreader for the Michie Company before retiring some 35 years ago.

A family visitation is planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery with Dr. Lindsay Sadler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
