Archie Smith Obituary
Archie Linwood Smith, 59, of Orange, departed this life on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on April 4, 1951, in Charlottesville, to Ms. Ida Mae Smith.
He had been employed in the construction industry before his health began fail.
He is survived by wife Naomi Smith of Orange; his mother, Ida Mae Smith; four sons, Edward L. Smith of Charlottesville, Rashaad Smith, Archie Smith Jr. and John Washington, all of Orange; two daughters, Jamila Smith and Adriane Smith, both of Charlottesville; six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010, at the Mount Holy Baptist Church in Unionville with Pastor Leon Easterling and the Reverend Frank D. Lewis Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Washington family cemetery on Black Walnut Run Road in Unionville.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the funeral home.
Satchell's Funeral Service of Orange is in charge of arrangements.
