Bennie Randolph "Rudolph" Hurt
Bennie Randolph "Rudolph" Hurt, 46, of Criglersville, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, in Syria, Virginia.
He was born on August 11, 1964, in Charlottesville.
Rudolph was owner and operator of Hurt Logging and a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ann Hurt; parents, Benny Lee Hurt and Lois Virginia Cave Hurt, all of Criglersville; a daughter, Jessica Diane Weaver and her husband, Patrick, of Shelby; two brothers, Rex Hurt and his wife, Becky, and Adam Hurt, all of Criglersville; two sisters, Donna Yowell and her husband, Glen, of Etlan, Amy Hurst and her husband, Joe, of Criglersville; a sister-in-law, Teresa Shaver of Wolftown; two grandchildren, Tristen Weaver and Patrick Weaver Jr. "Eric", both of Shelby; and eleven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church with interment at Criglersville Cemetery. Pastor Richard Wright and Pastor Lonnie Salyers will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, 4808 Shelby Road, Madison, Virginia.
Preddy Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Bonnie and Jessie - hold tight to your love of your husband and dad - keep his memory alive for those babies. I only meant Randolph once or twice but you could tell he was a wonderful man. I love hearing Ginger and Penny tell about the time you all went to DC for the concert in the limo and to Mortons, its memories like that, that will keep his smile alive in your hearts

Bonnie, Lois, Benny, and family, there are no words I can say that will ease your pain. Randolph was a great man, but that's because he had a great family. I have never seen a family with such great love for one another. So many families would be lucky to have just half of what your family has. I know you will all be able to lean on each other for strength and God for comfort. You know, Randolph and Jamie were best friends when they were in school, and now they're rejoicing in Heaven together. Just hold on to all the wonderful memories you have because nothing can take those away from you, and hold on to the most powerful thing you have here on earth, the love you have for one another, and the love you have for Our Saviour. God will be your comfort and peace in knowing that just in a little while you'll all be together again in Heaven. We love you.
