Beulah May Hunt

Beulah May Hunt, 92, of Charlottesville, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2010.

She was born on March 11, 1918, in Louisa County, to the late Ivor Clay Johnson and Vannie Eloise Holloway Johnson. She was also predeceased by her husband, Howard W. Hunt; an infant daughter, Patricia Gail; and a special friend, John Beasley; three sisters, Celia McGuire, Bernice Thomas, Alma Birckhead; and two brothers, Lee and John Johnson.

Mrs. Hunt worked for many years as a nurse at Kluge's Children Rehabilitation Center. She was also a long-time member of Jefferson Park Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by three daughters, Nancy Aldredge and her husband, Doug, of Bonita Springs, Florida, Doris Wood and her husband, Dr. Charles M. Wood II, of Logan, West Virginia, and Anne Hicks and her husband, Cecil, of Keswick, Virginia. Other survivors include her sisters, Mary Harris, Virginia Melton and Hazel Cason; and a brother, Macon Johnson; eight grandchildren, Lance, David and Janet Aldredge, Rebecca Shreck, Chris, Mark and Charles Wood III, and Jackie Newton; and twelve great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, at Monticello Memory Gardens with Dr. Charles M. Wood II, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2010, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home.

Flowers are appreciated; alternately, memorial contributions may be made to Fluvanna SPCA, 5239 Union Mills Road, Troy, VA 22974.
