Charlie Robert Woodfolk Sr.

Charlie Robert Woodfolk Sr., 67, of Charlottesville, departed this life on Monday, November 9, 2009, at his residence.

He was born in Madison County to the late Emanuel Woodfolk Sr. and Augustine Woodfolk.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister Pearl Mae Alexander; and a brother William Washington.

Charlie worked as an Engineer and Landscaper and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mildred Williams Woodfolk; four sons, Charlie Robert Woodfolk Jr. of Louisa, Lloyd Lamont Woodfolk of Charlottesville, Antonio Crandell Woodfolk and his wife, Sherrie, of Goochland, Kevin O'Brian Woodfolk and his wife, Kathy, of Louisa; two daughters Priscilla Ann Holliday, and Gail Teresa Woodfolk and her fianc?, Marty Fortune, all of Charlottesville; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister Augustine Elizabeth Ragland and her husband, Warren, of Charlottesville; one brother Emanuel Woodfolk, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Keswick; three brothers in-law, Richard Williams of Orange, Joe Williams and his wife, Delores, of Gordonsville and Ben Estes of Charlottesville; five sisters in-law, Helen Williams of Charlottesville, Shirley Williams of Gordonsville, Carolyn Terrell of Laurel, Maryland, Jean Estes of Charlottesville, Joyce Marie of Alexandria; one aunt Emma Walker of Charlottesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009, at J. F. Bell Funeral Home with Mr. Lonnie Johnson officiating.

The family would like to thank the Charlottesville Albemarle Rescue Squad and Woods Edge Apartments for their many acts of kindness.
