Dale Rae Wagner Dale Rae Wagner, 81, of Lake Monticello, died on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

He was born on May 31, 1929, in Bowling Green, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Foster and Nina (Conley) Wagner.

Mr. Wagner retired as an Electrical Engineer with AMF Bakery in Richmond after more than twenty years of service. He was a member of the Fork Union Masonic Lodge 127, Palmyra United Methodist Church, American Legion and the HAM Radio Club.

He served in the United States Navy Patrol Squadron 861/18 and enjoyed woodworking and genealogy.

Survivors include wife, Suzette "Sue" (McEvers) Wagner; a daughter, Amy W. Hones and her husband, William, of Waldorf, Maryland; a son, Steven D. Wagner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister, Clara M. Straight of Bowling Green, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Daniel Hones and Joyce Hones.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Palmyra United Methodist Church by the Reverend Sandra Plasters.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lake Monticello Rescue Squad, 10 Slice Road, Palmyra, VA 22963.
