Darby Brosius Stevens

Darby Suzanne (Brosius) Stevens, 47, of Charlotte Courthouse, Virginia, died on Monday, November 29, 2010, in Palmyra.

She was born on December 2, 1962, in Arlington, Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles Thomas Brosius IV and Suzanne (Ellis) Brosius.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Thomas Brosius V.

Darby was an avid reader and especially enjoyed books by James Patterson. She loved to cross stitch and scrapbook with her children and her favorite saying was "live, laugh, love." She enjoyed attending church at Calvary Chapel Fluvanna.

Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Wayne Stevens; ten children, Michael Bianco Jr., Ellen Brittany Shields and her husband, Mike, CatieJo, Melanie, Sean, Nicholas, Kimberly, Robbie, Juliana and Susannah Bianco; a granddaughter, Gracie Shields; her brother, Michael Brosius; her sister, Debbie Brosius; her mother-in-law, Patricia Stevens Newman; and her grandparents, Angelo and Kathleen Bianco.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. and from 6 until 7 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., conducted by Pastor Steve Feden.

A graveside service will be conducted 12 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2010, at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
