Deborah Anne Petry, 57, of Charlottesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2009, at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

She was born in Nyack, New York, on April 4, 1952, the daughter of Jane A. Bloodgood Will and the late Raymond W. Will. She was also predeceased by her husband, Walter W. Petry Jr.; as well as brothers, Raymond W. Will Jr. and Michael L. Will.

Survivors include her daughter, Beth Anne Solak and her husband, Scott, of Charlottesville; two step-children, Jean Marie Johnson of Nyack, New York and Walter W. Petry III of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and McKenzie Johnson, all of Nyack, New York, and Jordyn and Jake Solak of Charlottesville; a brother, David A. Will of Somerset, Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Kathi DeCarlo of Parrish, Florida, and Cynthia O'Donnell of Ellenton, Florida. Deborah also leaves behind her companion of three years, Ken Andrelis.

Her kind smile and warm embrace will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Church of Our Saviour. Pastor David Stoddart will officiate and interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation hours will be from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1445 East Rio Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
