Elmer Shifflett Obituary
He was born on June 27, 1933, in Sugar Hollow, to the late Gallie Lee Shifflett and Lena Howdyshell Shifflett.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Zura Van Wilson; four brothers, Charles, Joseph, Jack and Robert Shifflet; two nieces, Sue Maupin and Wanda Shifflett; three brothers-in-law, E.C. Crickenberger, Donald Van and Woody Wilson.
He is survived by two sisters, Edith Crickenberger of Charlottesville and her son, Larry, and his family, of Fluvanna; Anna Johnson and her son, Jeff, and his family, of Charlottesville; daughter, Joy Elliot and her family of Littleton, Colorado; nieces, Dee Van, Jessica Mundy, Lynda Shifflett; nephews, Charles Jr. and Eddie Shifflett; brother-in-law, Ed Johnson; and sister-in-law, Lucille Shifflett
Elmer was retired from Acme Visible Records and belonged to the Crozet Sportsman Club. He was an Army veteran and loved fishing and playing cards with his friends.
The family would like to express appreciation to Betty Ferneyhough, other special friends, and Sentara Home Care Services, for their comfort and care.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the SPCA, 3355 Berkmar Drrive, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or Western Albemarle Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 188, Crozet, VA 22932.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing away of Perk. You were good to him Anna Mae and we know your Mom would have been proud of you. He truly has been missed at "the Garage" for a long time now. There are certain kind and friendly things about people that we just never forget. Perk was one of these people and will be remembered.

I can only wish my condolences to the family. Perk was a character liked by all who knew him. Perk was the true definition of good old boy and fine country gentleman. Again my deepest sympathy to your family. The Maupin Family, Pete and Ricky.
