Elsie Phillips Obituary
Elsie Mae Tillman Phillips, 88, of Schuyler, died Saturday, November 21, 2009, at a local hospital.
She was born April 10, 1921, on the Tillman Farm in Schuyler, where she lived her entire life.
In addition to her parents, Thomas Hiram and Elner Taylor Tillman, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Sidney "Bud" Phillips; three sisters, Mary Phillips, Gladys Marks and Martha Kitchen; and three brothers, Henry, George and Emmit Tillman.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and member of Schuyler Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home in Scottsville by the Reverend Thomas Fowler. Burial will follow in the Tillman Family Cemetery in Schuyler.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday , November 24, 2009, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Schuyler Baptist Church.

We already miss this gentle soul...I never heard her utter a negative word about anyone. May God above wrap His arms around Elsie, and take her home.
