Eunice Theresa Hamm Shiflett

Eunice Theresa Hamm Shiflett, 91, of Earlysville, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at the Charlottesville Health and Rehab Center.

She was the daughter of the late Jake and Mary Baugher Hamm.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Shiflett; daughter-in-law, Karen P. Shiflett; two brothers, Leslin Hamm and Deward Hamm; three sisters, Zettie Comer, Oma Rittenour and Beunie Matthews; and one son, Gary C. Shiflett.

She is survived by five sons, Aubrey E. "Gene" Shiflett and his wife, Dorothy, of Earlysville, Vernon C. Shiflett and his wife, Joann, of Lake Monticello, Thomas J. "Jake" Shiflett and his wife, Denise, of Lynchburg, Craig G. Shiflett and his wife, Brenda, of Troy and Donald E. Shiflett of Charlottesville; five grandchildren, Scott Shiflett and his wife, Tara, of Charlottesville, Dale Shiflett and his wife, Lisa, of Lake Monticello, Dustin Shiflett and his wife, Mandy, of Lynchburg and Jacob and Lauren Shiflett of Lynchburg; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Teague Chapel with Pastor David Allison officiating.

Interment will follow at the Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2009, at the Teague Funeral Home.
