Granville R. Braxton

Granville R. Braxton, 88, of Charlottesville, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was the son of the late Benamin and Gertrude Williams Braxton.

He was a retired United States Army veteran and a faithful member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted family, two sons, Granville Braxton Jr. and Lorenzo Braxton of Charlottesville; one daughter, Maxine Braxton Harris of Waynesboro, Virginia; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granchild and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. R.A. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Services of comfort are entrusted to the staff of McClenny Funeral Service Inc.
