Nancy and family.
Theresa and I are so sorry to hear about Marvin's death. Marvin was such a wonderful person and had such a great sense of humor. He was always the same no matter where you saw him. I used to tease him about ruining my christmas when taxes were due once a year in December. He always had a come back for me. Such a nice man...will truly be missed by anyone who knew him. God bless you and your family.

Nancy & families, - Billy and I were so sorry to hear of Marvin's death. It was a pleasure to have met him when I was working at Peoples' Bank of Nelson(so long ago). I never mind going in to see him once a year to pay our taxes. I purposely went into the Treasurer's office so I could say hello to everyone. Marvin always was so friendly and always had a smile. I was fortunate to talk with him recently in Food Lion Parking lot. May God bless each of you during this time.

Nancy, Gary , Lisa & family ~
I am so sorry to hear about "J-Maaavin"....as Gary would so fondly call him years ago, and I'm sure still does. I have so many good memories of all the years spent with your family. I always felt as though I was part of it, because that's the way I was made to feel.

Please know that I'm thinking of you all. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Shipman will never be the same!

What a sad time for Nelson County. Mr. Davis was a very special person in that when he said "How are you?", he really wanted to know! He sincerely cared enough to ask.
