Jasper Shifflett Obituary
Jasper Andrew Shifflett, 71, of Barboursville, died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on August 28, 1939, a son of the late George Shifflett and Nora Deane Shifflett. Jasper was the husband of the late Nora Jean Shifflett.
He was a lifetime member of the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Lloyd and her husband, Mike, of Barboursville, and Nora Mae Dean and her husband, Ricky, of Louisa; three sons, James "Buster" Shifflett and friend, Mary Waldon, of Barboursville, Terry Shifflett and friend, Kim Deane, of Barboursville, and William Shifflett of Barboursville; two brothers, Lawrence Shifflett and his wife, Polly, of Barboursville, Mack Shifflett and his wife, Betty, of Barboursville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Shifflett; one grandchild, Kimberley Shifflett; and three brothers, Paul Shifflett, Alvin Shifflett and George Shifflett.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Pastor Gino Bryant will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the funeral home.
