John Franklin Schoppel

John Franklin Schoppel, 77, of Louisa, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010.

He was born on February 16, 1933, in Biltmore, North Carolina, to William M. and Naomi Y. Schoppel.

He is survived by a brother, Joe Schoppel and a sister, Billie Bonar, both of Louisa; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Margaret Guthrie, Douglas Schoppel, Barbara Tambourine, William M. Schoppel Jr., Gene Schoppel and Amelia Bowers.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2010, at Woodward Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Woodward Funeral Home.

Joe and family sure will miss John, I enjoyed talking with him from time to time, When I saw him at the mail box. I know he is in a better place now. I'am so gald you and your sister moved here. I know he was so glad to have you both beside him. I will always see his smiling face when I go by. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
