John Tyler Obituary
John Michael Tyler, 46, of Mineral, died Sunday, April 4, 2010.
He was born April 1, 1964, at Fort Belvoir Army Base. John was a member of Piedmont Sportsman Club and the River of Life Church. He was a graduate of Louisa County High School and James Madison University. He was an amazing man, devoted father and loved by many. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Tipton Tyler; paternal grandparents, George and Betty Tyler; maternal grandparents, Helen and Elmo Tipton.
Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife, Alison Tyler, of Mineral; two daughters, Jordan and Sarah Tyler, both of Mineral; his father, George Tyler and his wife, Fay, of Louisa; one brother, Ben Tyler and his wife, Misty, of Richmond; two uncles, Richard Tyler and his wife, Jude, of Clarksville, Hoge Tyler and his wife, Muriel, of Nelson, British Colombia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Mineral Baptist Church. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening, April 15, 2010, at the church and ask that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Tyler Children Education Fund. Checks may be made out to Harvest Renewal Church, 1127 West Main Street, Richmond, VA 23220 and designated to The Tyler Children Education Fund.
Preddy Funeral Home of Gordonsville is assisting the family with arrangements.

It has been a long time but could never forget a kind, respectful friend and classmate whos smile lit any room he entered. I was very saddened to hear of Johns passing. I hope it comes as a comfort to his family that he left a happy spot in alot of peoples memories. Rest in Peace dear friend.

I am extremely sorry to hear of John's passing. I have not seen John in quite a few years but John was a good friend and teammate. Many fond memories playing baseball with John during our years at Louisa High School.

We were so saddened and shock to hear of the passing of John. He and Allison
worked with East Coast Metal Distributors in Norfolk, Virginia with us before they were married and for awhile after they were married. What a great couple! John was always joking and Allison always laughing at his jokes. Always living life to its fullest. Our thoughts and prayers are with Allison and the girls at this difficult time.
