Gina Annette Tyler, 59, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 15, 2025.
A celebration of Gina’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2025, at the First Apostolic Church in Morehead City.
Gina was born on March 8, 1966, in Newport, North Carolina, to the late Hubert and Phyliss Lewis. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of First Apostolic Church of Morehead City.
Gina’s kindness and compassion were evident throughout her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she touched the lives of many.
In her free time, Gina enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her hanging plants, she enjoyed traveling and seeing new sites, and she loved to search for treasures while thrift shopping.
Above all, Gina cherished her family. She especially loved being a mother and grandmother and treasured every moment spent with her precious grandchildren.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Ebonee Lewis of Newport, NC and Danielle Tyler of Jacksonville, NC; and grandchildren, Uriyah Tyler, Cassius Patrick, and Ariana Crawford.
In addition to her parents, Gina was preceded in death by her sister, Andrea Lewis; brothers, Ronnie Lewis and Hubert Lee Lewis Jr.; and granddaughter, Zyra Tyler.
